The Furbanks have been released in the UK and USA. When they were first released by Tomy, the editions were the same, however when they were re-released post-1999, the UK still had standing babies, whilst the US had the new sit and crawl twins. These twins have been since released again with open mouths.
The Furbanks have also been released in Japan, too! They were released around the same time as in the UK and USA, but have flat hands instead. In Japan there are standing babies in different colours to those in the UK and USA, and like the Tomy figures, Epoch also re-released this family but in a 20th anniversary edition, with different coloured clothes, and new sit and crawl twins. There are many anniversary and special figures that have been released in the Furbanks mould as well.
With all that said, I'm actually not a huge fan of this family. They seem to be a bit bland, but with soft poofy tails, which I suppose is a redeeming feature (I like soft things...) I am still missing the Calico Critters first edition of the Furbanks twins from my collection. I'd also like to get the Japanese 20th anniversary re-release, as I think the clothes are a lot nicer.

Emma Furbanks calls everyone "darling" or "lovey". That's because she's always so busy trying to remember her lines she forgets everyone's names!
Douglas Furbanks who is known as Junior, spends most of his time in an imaginary world of his own - a world populated pirates, white knights and fire breathing dragons.
Greta Furbanks spends a lot of time on her own, so she can get on with the serious business of learning her lines.

Mother, Emma is a very fine actress but she's very modest about her talent. She is always rehearsing her lines. In fact, people sometimes think she's talking to herself!

Sister, Greta is the exact opposite of her brother. Quiet and with both feet firmly planted on the ground, Grets is a perfectionist. Everything, especially her acting, must be just right.
Baby Ray and sister Fay have been born into the acting profession - and they love it! They have great fun playing with all the make-up and face paints. If someone isn't watching them carefully, they will soon cover themselves from head to toe with bright colors!
