Grunt Pig Family
Tee-hee, I just love these pigs. I think that these are far cuter than the pigs-that-should-not-be-named Pigglywinks family. The snouts are rounder and the ears are bent forward instead of curled. And aren't forced into a dog mould.
All the triplet babies are in a standing position and have fully movable limbs. There are two boys and one girl, however the names do not seem to suggest which is which I'm afraid, and I can't remember the order in which they came out of the packaging.
These pigs as well as being released in the UK, were also released as a limited edition set in Japan with flat hands at the Sylvanian Market stores (2007). The clothes from what I understand are identical. In the US Calico Critters range, the triplet babies were released as a limited edition set, marketed as the Three Little Pigs. Quite sweet, really. Well done Int. Play Things for not messing up another pig family!

Grunt Biographies
Sylvanian pun! Intentional or not, you sometimes find them in the UK names. Here I am proud to spot brother Hugh Grunt, which refers to actor Hugh Grant of Four Weddings and a Funeral fame. I don't think he'd be impressed if he knew he was a pig, though! And well, sister May Grunt may well grunt because she's a pig. Oh how do they think these names up?
Richard E. Grunt is a builder and a very good one. He builds lots of houses of all shapes, sizes and materials in the woods of Sylvania as well as garden walls, shops and schools. No job is too big or too small for Richard E.
Constance Grunt like her name suggests is constantly preparing food for her large family, hungry family. Pastries for breakfast, biscuits and tarts for snacks, at least five vegetables for the main meals as well as puddings, it never ends!
Hugh Grunt is a 'chip off the old block' and hopes to become a builder like his dad. He has built his own den and treehouse in the garden as well as drawing up plans for a shed to store his tools; just like his father's shed!
May Grunt is a slave to fashion. She spends her time scanning magazines and shops for the latest designer outfits along with all the most must-have accessories. Once she has chosen her new look, she then works out how to alter her clothes to create her new outfit.
