In America the Honeybear family are known as the Huntington family. They are virtually identical, however the UK version had adults with open hands, whilst in America they had flat hands. A set of grandparents were also released and these were exclusive to America.
The family was first released in 1990, and the mother and father were in the larger bear size. The original babies were in the solid mould (you could not move their arms and legs).
In 2009 Flair re-released this family with the new-style adult mould, and sit/crawl twins. I believe this version on the family is exclusive to the UK. Also In 2010 in the Rainbow Nursery Figure Set, a new Honeybear standing baby was included. This is exclusive to the UK, and sadly the baby does not have a name.
I still need to collect the original versions of this family. Patience is a virtue, I hear. And so is money!

Honey Bear Biographies
Bertie Honey Bear is the miller of Sylvania, working in the Old Mill making lots of different flour. Being a very friendly fellow, he gives bags of flour to all his visitors and as a result he has a lot of callers.
Tamsie Honey Bear makes the most of her husband's skill as a miller, baking the most wonderful cakes and puddings in her kitchen. She likes to use lots of tasty fruits and berries in her creations.
Diggory Honey Bear always helps his father deliver the sacks of flour around the village of Sylvania on Saturdays. He's getting very big and strong doing all this physical work!
Katy Honey Bear loves collecting ingredients for her mother's pies. Every day sh fills a small basket with fruit and berries from the hedgerows on her way home from school.
Jeremy and Lucy Honey Bear the 'Terrible Twins' as they are known, are always making a noise and being naughty. The only time these two little monsters are quier is when they are listening to their bedtime story or watching children's hour on TV.
