Yet another generic, feel-good family, built on the traditional foundations of the Sylvanian Families brand :3 D'awww.
In the UK this family was originally released in 1997 by Tomy (this family was also released in the US, and is identical). In addition to this, the family members were also released in the Family Life series by Flair in the following sets:
2001 - Endeavour's First Day in Class - Brother
2001 - Millie's Bathtime - Mother and Baby Girl (who is incorrectly in blue) (*)
2003 - Birthday Present Shopping - Sister
[(*) Sets which I own]
The Father and Baby Boy have yet to be released in this format. Perhaps Brie Norwood is a modern representation of the 'single mother'. Or Flair got lazy making too many Bearbury Bear sets, which seems far more likely. Curse those cute bears! Anyways, it is worth noting that the Family Life have different outfits to the original released family.
In Japan this family was released pre-1999, and are of course, flat-handed. I'm unsure how the babies were released i.e. whether they were twins, or seperate standing babies. I have yet to add these to my collection.
