In the UK these were released in the year that I was born, and happen to be my favourite squirrel family. They look more squirrel-like to me than the later releases, and as the red squirrels are endangered, I feel as though I'll always be able to spot them in my house!
Anyways, back to business! These pretty squirrels were also released in Japan. The first release around 1985 had beautiful golden tails, and are exceptionally rare. I haven't found any at a reasonable price yet. The later version between 1985-1989 had the normal brown tails like the UK. The Japanese standing baby girl was in yellow, whilst pink in the UK.
These figures have never been released to have open hands, nor babies without solid moulds, so all the figures aren't easy to find.
I'm missing the UK standing baby from my family, and would love to own the golden tailed version some day.
