This bear is exclusive to the UK, and came with the Sainsbury's Grocery Store set. It's a limited edition piece that was released in 2009, and was only available at the supermarket chain Sainsburys. He is supposed to be the original store owner, John.
Unless Sainsburys consider making more family members in the future, John will be alone forever. Good thing I have lots of other Sylvanians to keep him company!
